As our Development Coordinator you will work alongside the communications and development team to steward and cultivate donors. You will be an active part of fundraising event planning and execution, as well as playing an active role in supporting the growth of the corporate partners program. We're looking for someone who can take direction from written or spoken ideas and convert them into images, layouts, and other designs using the Adobe creative suite.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
Donor Stewardship & Cultivation (70%) 
• Assist with the production and implementation of appeal campaigns and other fundraising communications and strategies
• Using a newly incorporated fundraising database, GivEffect, this position will oversee inputs and outputs related to donor stewardship
• Assist with prospect management and stewardship for Corporate Partners program
• Manage post-event stewardship and cultivation
 
Print & Digital Communications (20%)
• Manage the development, distribution, and maintenance of all print communications to promote the organization's programmatic services including, but not limited to, forms, press releases, donor newsletters
• Create and coordinate production schedules and maintain ongoing relationships with external vendors
• Respond to programmatic communication tickets
 
Administration (10%)
• Provide assistance with the execution of all special events
• Perform additional tasks as needed to support the effective operation of a nonprofit organization
 
CRITICAL FUNCTIONAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or PR
• Must have working experience with Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign, specifically with mockups, web design and multimedia presentation
• Experience working with WordPress templates
• Previous fundraising internships
• Adaptive design eye and skill
• Flexibility and comfort working with competing priorities and deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Driven to ensure work quality meets established standards and guidelines
• Collaborative and interacts well with a broad spectrum of individuals
• Demonstrates appreciation for and ability to respond to cultural differences
 
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, some evenings and weekends
• Heavy exposure to PC and phones
• Office environment
