Dotted Line Divas is seeking a Part-Time Program Specialist to work approximately 20 hours a week and drive the organization forward in growth, development, and service to the community. The Program Specialist is the key representative and driver of the organization and will be responsible for promoting the mission of DLD and connecting the public to the organization.
Dotted Line Divas is a faith based non-profit 501(c)(3) that utilizes extreme couponing methods to purchase personal care and hygiene items at a significant discount to give to families in need. Every day, families in need go without personal care and hygiene products because the expense is too great and there is an inability to purchase or receive these items through various assistance services. DLD operates a Personal Care Pantry to meet this need as well as partners with other organizations to serve the larger Indianapolis community and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Spreading DLD's Presence, Story, & Mission
 o Responsible for increasing the number of Strategic Partners according to organization's annual goals
 o Schedule and attend 3-4 meetings each month (approx. 1/week)  with potential corporations, churches, and other organizations
 o Foster already established and ongoing partnerships of the organization
• Fundraising
 o Increase the number of monthly donors, corporate sponsors, and church sponsors according to organization's annual goals
 o Plan, Oversee, & Chair Fundraising Events
  > Co-Chair Share The Love, DLD's largest fundraising event of the year
  > Plan and implement one smaller scale fundraiser each quarter
 o Identify and apply for grants and other external funding sources that would support the organization
• Communications
 o Oversee electronic communications to organization's donors, supporters, volunteers
 o Responsible for drafting e-newsletters (including content/graphics/photos)
 o Ensure any new contacts are imported and categorized in appropriate grouping
 o Handles replying to incoming emails and managees DLD email account(s), replies to Facebook messages, comments on Facebook posts, etc
 o After receiving monetary donation, represents organization by sending thank-you's on behalf of DLD
• Social Media
 o Responsible for posting/scheduling posts to run on organization's social media channels (minimum of 1 post a day)
• Oversee Personal Care Pantry Process
 o Includes learning current system to capitalize on what works and tweak where may need improvements
 o Responsible for data entry after each pantry day
 o Responsible for tracking incoming and outgoing product inventory
• Volunteer Recruitment
 o Oversee volunteer database handling all communications & scheduling opportunities for pantry days, events, etc.
 o Expected to represent organization at volunteer recruitment events (2-3/year)
• Board Member Involvement & Recruitment
 o Foster relationships with DLD supporters to gauge interest in board member opportunities when positions become available
 o Attend regularly scheduled board meetings & maintain open communication with board re: growth & development of the organization
 o Attend board member recruitment events (i.e., "Get On Board")
• Miscellaneous
 o Volunteer at Personal Care Pantry at least 1x per quarter
 o Manage organization's website (WordPress)
  > Responsible for posting upcoming events, keeping website relevant and up-to-date, & blogging at least 1-2/month
 o Responsible for the management and upkeep of organization's working documents
  > Responsible for ensuring all changes and updates to DLD policies are updated in respective manual (i.e. DLD Policies & Procedures, Pantry Policies & Procedures, Board Policy Manual, etc.)
 o Research and explore CRM systems to streamline data entry, tracking product inventory, and communications with database
• Other duties as assigned by board

• A Bachelor's degree or experience equivalent, preferably in Nonprofit Development, Nonprofit Management, Philanthropy, Leadership, Human Services, or related field
• Fundraising experience
• Experience in managing volunteers/donor relations
• Event planning experience
• Ability to work independently, self-motivated, self-disciplined, organized, flexible, persistent, assertive, innovative, and high energy
• Communicate professionally and effectively with current and potential members of the organization as well as the larger Indianapolis community (includes public speaking & media interviews)
• Excellent written & presentation skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Quickbooks, WordPress & MailChimp
• Experience working within a Board member environment to drive board involvement and lead strategic planning efforts
• Understand financial statements for the organization
• Ability to identify and apply for grants and other external funding sources that would support the organization
• Have an established network of professionals and other contacts in the nonprofit sector to meet with to promote and grow the organization.
