Organization Overview
Pack Away Hunger is a non-profit organization dedicated to greatly improving the lives of children and others who suffer from hunger and malnutrition.  Working with volunteers of all ages, we create the Nutri-Plenty meal which is distributed to families in the USA and overseas.
Position Duties
30%       Present Pack Away Hunger's mission, goals, and opportunities to prospective and current sponsors, and cultivate long-term relationships
25%       Follow up on presentations, to gauge progress
20%         Secure commitment for packing event, and finalize additional details needed by Events and Logistics Director
15%         Develop new sources of support, and sponsorship programs
10%    Other duties as directed by Executive Director
Position Qualifications
Minimum Education: College degree is preferred
Minimum Experience: 3 years of Sales or Development work, ideally in a mission-oriented organization
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
• A passion for ending hunger and malnutrition
• Highly focused, with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrates active listening, and competence in building relationships
• Needs consistent and timely follow-through.  Familiarity with Customer Relations software packages a plus (especially Salesforce)
• Must be comfortable working with many groups, including churches, corporations and civic groups, and determining which group will be a good fit with Pack Away Hunger.
• Able to work independently with minimal direction, while also functioning and contributing as a member of a team
• Willingness to travel as necessary and work the required schedule.  This can include nights and weekends
• The candidate needs to have easy transportation to meet with prospective clients. 
• Candidate needs stamina for multiple presentations per day.
• While performing the duties of this Job, the associate is regularly required to stoop, stand, walk, sit, talk and hear.
• Submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, credit, and criminal history) and drug screening
• Competence using Computers and Audio/Visual equipment
