The Chief Executive Officer will have the overall strategic and operational responsibility for Pass The Torch For Women Foundation including fundraising, donor relations, program management, staff and volunteer engagement, budget management, and execution of its mission. The CEO will develop a deep knowledge of core programs, operations, and business plans and build lasting internal and external relationships that lead to the advancement of the mission. The CEO will be responsible for overseeing an annual budget and a staff of two.
 
PERFORMANCE DIMENSIONS AND TASKS:
 
LEADERSHIP AND COMMUNICATIONS
• Serves as the chief spokesperson for the organization.
• Works with staff, board, volunteers, and funders to accomplish the strategic plan of the organization and ensure the programs objectives are met.
• Promotes awareness and visibility of Pass The Torch For Women Foundation through a variety of forums, including public speaking, media, and other means of communication.
• Develops and maintains working relationships with sponsors, organizations, and other groups that support the purposes of the organization.  Travel throughout Indiana (and elsewhere, as designated), regularly attending and speaking at public events, including conferences, award ceremonies, meetings and athletic events.
 
RELATIONSHIP WITH BOARD OF DIRECTORS
• Serves as ex-officio member of board. 
• Coordinates staff support for and attends Board Meetings and Campaign & Sponsorship Meetings.
• Assists with the recruitment, orientation and training of board members.
• Leads the board through the development of strategic plans, policies, and priorities.
• Works with the Board President to plan board meetings.
• Brings appropriate issues and policy decisions to the board in a timely manner
• Keeps the board apprised of all significant matters and carries out directions of the Board.
 
RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT
• Provides identification, cultivation and stewardship of individual, foundation, corporate, and public sources, including national fund-raising opportunities, to increase revenue that will enable growth and expansion of services to meet the needs of its mentoring community. 
• Creates and implements a comprehensive and diverse fundraising business plan that expands philanthropic support for the organization.
• Ensures an annual plan is developed and implemented that provides the financial resources necessary to carry out the activities of the organization.  
• Ensures compliance with funding sources and regulatory requirements. 
 
PROGRAM MANAGEMENT
• Provides guidance for and empowers staff to develop, implement and evaluate programs to ensure they fulfill Pass The Torch For Women Foundation mission, vision, and objectives.  
• Responsible for the overall management and evaluation of the Project Grow Program and services for the 500 Circle and Developing Professionals.
• Promotes creativity, innovation and communication among the programs bringing them together to gain a greater impact by sharing resources and ideas. 
• Oversees facility management including landlord relationships. 
 
FISCAL MANAGEMENT
• Oversees the development of a Board-approved  annual budget that implements the strategic plan and reflects agreed upon priorities.  
• Ensures infrastructure is well maintained, including, but not limited to, workspace, office equipment and IT. 
• Coordinates completion of annual audit and tax filings by CPA Firm and ensure insurance policies are up to date. Other specific fiscal responsibilities include:
 o Monitors receipts, expenditures and cash flow. Codes all expenses for CPA. 
 o Ensures all income is properly coded. 
 o Does the bimonthly payroll.
 o Maintains a system of internal controls.
 o Supervises all grants and contracts. Ensures all goals and objectives are met and funds expended appropriately and in accordance with terms of grants and contracts.
 
ORGANIZATIONAL MANAGEMENT
• Partners with the Board of Directors in developing and implementing the organization's strategic plan and ensuring the resources are available to successfully execute that plan. 
• Provides general management of Pass The Torch For Women Foundation (programs, administration, finance, etc.).
• Understands current non-profit industry trends, laws, and regulations; interpret for relevancy and applicability. Seeks and supports relationships with other related service organizations.  
 
TALENT MANAGEMENT
• Supports and provides guidance on the organizational team structure and facilitates leadership development among staff and volunteers.
• Leads, coaches, hires, and evaluates staff. Ensures talent is aligned with strategic direction and resources are effectively deployed.
• Works with the Board of Directors in developing, implementing and monitoring personnel policies and employee benefit plans to ensure a positive and productive environment.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree with at least five years of management experience (preferably in a not-for-profit setting and working with a board of directors) including leading and coaching staff.
• Track record of effectively leading an outcomes-based organization; ability to point to specific examples of having developed and implemented fund-raising strategies resulting in successful growth outcomes.
• Strong fundraising, marketing and public relations experience with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders and cultures.
• Excellence in organizational management with the ability to drive fund development, coach staff, and develop high-performing teams to accomplish strategic objectives.
• Knowledge and experience in successful fundraising strategies and donor relations in addition to demonstrated proficiency in grant-writing.
• Experience in public speaking, excellent written and oral communication skills, and skilled in developing positive interpersonal relationships.
• Commitment to providing and ensuing high quality programs.
• Passionate, energetic, professional, action-oriented and adaptable.
• Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people.
• Displays passion, idealism, integrity and a positive attitude, is mission-driven and selfdirected.
