Organization Overview
The Center for the Performing Arts, a large non-profit performing arts institution in the city of Carmel, seeks a Director of Corporate Development.  This pivotal role requires the ability to further expand corporate partnerships and manage support from grant-making institutions.
 
Position Duties
• Develop and execute fundraising campaigns focused on corporate contributions
• Carry a portfolio of 40-60 corporate donors and high-capacity prospects
• Actively manage a portfolio of corporate major donors and prospects and will retain and upgrade existing corporate donors while also actively identifying and acquiring new donors through research, cultivation and targeted outreach of gifts ranging from $2,500 to $10 million
• Help supervise the Corporate Relations Manager who implements corporate benefits and recognition program; coordinates program book advertising
• Oversee the grant-seeking program of the organization, including prospecting (in collaboration with Development Strategy & Research Manager), and managing a contract grant writer
 
Position Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in development, arts management, communications or business preferred.
• Minimum of seven years in a previous non-profit fundraising or for-profit business development role; high preference given to those with experience specifically in corporate fundraising
• Minimum five years of demonstrated development success with polished solicitation/pitching of proposals in five-, six- and (preferably) seven-figure corporate partnerships
• Previous experience using CRM and/or fundraising platform (i.e., Tessitura, Raiser's Edge, etc.)
• Ability to build and grow relationships, plus understanding of moves management principles
• Ability to interact with the public and address their concerns/questions
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, manage projects, and meet deadlines
