HOPE Family Care Center – a free clinic that for more than a decade has provided health care and related services for uninsured and medically under-served residents in and around northern Hamilton County – seeks a mission-driven individual to develop/implement a program that will ensure ongoing funding from multiple sources, to enable expansion of the clinic's hours and services.  This is initially a part-time position, with the possibility of expanding to full-time.
The Organization
The mission of HOPE Family Care Center is in our name: Hope is our mission... Family is our focus... health and related Care is what we provide... and the Center is our home base.  Through paid staff as well as professional and community-based volunteers, we provide medical care and needed referrals for adults and children; dental services; adult/school/sports physicals; flu shot clinics; mammograms; assistance with social services; patient help with medications; and more.  Our services (currently provided on selected half-days throughout the month) are free to those who need them.  We are funded by grants and donations, supplemented by periodic fundraising events.  Begun as an outreach of Cicero Christian Church, we operate from a base of strong Christian values.
Position Duties
The successful candidate will develop a comprehensive plan to ensure continued and expanded funding, and will implement that plan with the assistance of HOPE's Board and volunteers.  Specific tasks will include systematic identification of potential new funding sources (public and private); writing of new/renewal grant applications and funding appeals; help with expanded clinic marketing and community image development; and assistance with fundraising events as needed.
Position Qualifications
Knowledge of potential grant sources (public and private), and ability to successfully write related funding applications.  Ability to successfully cultivate potential private donors (corporations, foundations, and individuals).  Excellent writer and personal communicator.  Able to produce appealing and effective marketing/information communications.  Skilled in generating personal influence on behalf of HOPE's mission.
Hours and Compensation: 
Initially 5 hours/week, with possibility of expanded hours up to and including full-time if results warrant.  Compensation is competitive and will be discussed personally with candidates receiving interviews.
