The Manager, Business Development is an important revenue generating and relationship management position for Indiana Sports Corp. The Manager is primarily responsible for generating new revenue in the areas of corporate and individual memberships, event sponsorships, and event ticket package sales. In addition to securing new sales/revenues, this position is also responsible for the management, cultivation and fulfillment of existing donor and sponsor relationships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Create impact and results that ensures the Business Development team reaches and exceeds revenue goals.
• Help execute the department's annual business plan and fundraising strategy which includes; Membership recruitment (Corporate and Individual), selling organizational sponsorships, selling ticket packages and selling event sponsorships (Indiana Sports Corp Corporate Challenge, Big Ten Football Championship, Big Ten Basketball Tournament, Inspiring Sports Charity Golf Tournament and Indiana Sports Corp Youth Programs). 
• Grow Membership roster at all levels (Corporate and Individual).
• Manage sales/fulfillment responsibilities and sponsor activation related to Indiana Sports Corp events and sponsorships.
• Manage relationships with Patrons/Members, sponsors, event supporters and other key accounts/stakeholders.   
• Help maintain and manage current, viable prospect lists for Membership and event sponsorships. • Collaborate with Events Department to design and execute VIK needs for events and other company needs.   
• Serve as the "Staff Liaison" to help lead and inspire volunteer planning and local organizing committee efforts.
• Work with Senior Vice President, Business Development and President, to collaborate with Board of Directors to activate their skills, talents and relationships, when appropriate, to assist in meeting Business Development goals.   
• Create dynamic and effective client entertainment/engagement opportunities to help reach Business Development goals.   
• Assist with the design, development and preparation of the Annual Meeting, Pathfinder Awards, Inspiring Sports Charity Golf Tournament, Locker Room Lunches and other Indiana Sports Corp events and donor outreach moments. 
• Collaborate with Membership Director to help manage client sales data, history and account management tools. 
• Represent Indiana Sports Corp at community events while seeking on-going outreach opportunities.
• Help with the development and management of event budgets that include sponsorship programs and packages.
• Assist with the supervision of Indiana Sports Corp Business Development intern.
Position Qualifications:
• Experience in sales management, sponsorship sales and other fundraising campaigns
• Experience developing and executing sponsor activation plans
• Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
• Successful leadership roles in previous professional experience
• Self-starter with proven performance history and results-based outcomes
• Proven ability to work under multiple deadlines; poise under pressure 
• An established network in the greater Indianapolis business community is a plus  
• Collaborative management style (internally and externally) 
• Able to manage, inspire and lead multiple volunteer committees 
• Proven initiative, creativity and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to attend after-hours networking events
• Ability to work extra hours when required by workload, deliverables or an event
• Computer capabilities including customer relationship database management (Salesforce), Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
