Do you have experience coordinating fundraising efforts and a desire to make your community a little better? The United Cerebral Palsy Association of Greater Indiana is in need of a fundraising manager. If hired, you will be working with an Executive Director and Board of Directors who are all interested in seeing UCPAIndy succeed. You will always need to have an eye toward the future and determine which projects are worth continuing and which should be let go. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone who wants to get some experience in development and make an impact on people's lives.
Job Responsibilities
• Establish positive relationships with supporters, including donors and foundation representatives
• Prepare bi-monthly newsletters for supporters using Constant Contact
• Plan logistics for special events including an annual golf outing
• Evaluate the effectiveness of specific events and advertising campaigns to determine which ones work well and which ones should be abandoned
• Attend special events put on by the non-profit, which can include parties or charity events, and speak with guests about the advantages of the organization
• Research new grant opportunities
• Solicit donations be communicating with potential donors

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Ability to independently handle several tasks under time pressure
• Ability to manage and maintain internal and external relationships
• Ability to effectively present information to and respond to inquiries from external and internal partners
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
• Strong organizational leadership skills, a strong desire to shape development  outcomes, a supremely positive attitude and a strong desire to build UCPAIndy
• Knowledge of project management and business development strategies, management processes, etc.
• Extensive skills using social media, and other open source data/information intelligence platforms

Job Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, public relations, fundraising or similar area
• Experience working in fundraising or public relations

• Master's degree in a related field
• Knowledge of relevant software (Salesforce, Constant Contact, Office)
