Part-time (approximately 10 hours per week)
The Executive Director of the Foundation will provide professional leadership to the board of directors to accomplish the objectives of the Foundation. Major responsibilities for this position include: fundraising, enhancing public relations, event planning, maintaining effective communication with the board of committees, assisting the board with budgetary projections and oversight, and facilitating the establishment of short and long term goals and priorities for the foundation.  
Encourage, recognize, reward and support creativity, innovation, achievement, and excellence within the students, teachers, and administrators of Clark-Pleasant Community School Corporation
Develop partnerships with individuals, families, community groups, local businesses, and philanthropies to enhance educational opportunities within the Clark-Pleasant Community School Corporation
Inspire parents and alumni of Clark-Pleasant Community School Corporation to participate in the learning process
Work with teachers and administrators in order to enhance the quality of educational opportunities 
Transact any and all lawful business for which nonprofit corporations may be incorporated under the Act, provided such business is not inconsistent with the Foundation being organized and operated exclusively for non-profit purposes
Development and Public Relations
• Cultivate knowledge of potential sources of donations, recommend approaches to obtain them, and follow up with execution of adopted plans
• Cultivate and build relationships with existing donors, stakeholders, and other with ties to the foundation
• Develop and execute marketing plans to grow the Foundation
• Maintain knowledge of changes in laws and regulations which have an impact on charitable giving
• Serves as the face of the Foundation to the community
• Develop and carry out public relations and marketing programs to enhance the image and awareness of the foundation
Board and Committee Relations
• Implement policies established by the board
• Assist Board in the development of goals and long range plans
• Coordinate work of Board Committees
• Function as staff resource for the Board and Committees, providing adequate recommendations
• Work with the Board President to prepare Board meeting agendas and facilitate Board meetings
• Recruit, select, supervise and develop volunteers and staff if needed to accomplish the objectives of the Foundation
• Help development of budget projections
• Ensure that satisfactory stewardship of Foundation assets is being provided
• Ensure Foundation governance policies and practices are kept current
• Oversee fund and grant/program management
• Oversee donor relations including donor-advised funds in cooperation with the Board
• Maintain awareness of community needs and interests as they relate to Foundation goals 
Desired Qualifications: 
• A Bachelor's degree in non-profit management, public affairs, marketing, or business is preferred
• Knowledge of and commitment to the Clark-Pleasant School Community is preferred
• Experience in non-profit leadership
• Experience with fund raising and community service is required
• Excellent organizational and communication skills that support a team environment 
• Excellent writing and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multi-task with minimal supervision
• Proficient computer skills with the aptitude to lean new computer applications
• Experience with social media, marketing, and volunteer management
