The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul, Archdiocesan Council of Indianapolis, Inc. is seeking an experienced development professional with a passion for service. The Development Director is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing development efforts for the organization including major gifts, annual fund, planned giving, special events, grants, and capital campaigns.  The Development Director will take a donor-centered approach to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors to ensure a positive experience allowing the organization to further its vision to lift people out of poverty by working with them to achieve empowerment, stability, and spiritual fulfillment.
 
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul was established in 1833 "to lead women and men to join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person services to those who are now needy and suffering."  As part of the global St. Vincent de Paul network, the Archdiocesan Council of Indianapolis proudly carries out this Vincentian mission in Central and Southern Indiana "by spreading God's will through nutritious food and donated goods, while promoting self-sufficiency and dignity."  The Indianapolis Council is comprised of nearly 60 Conferences and includes over 5,000 volunteers who support the Food Pantry at the Pratt-Quigley Center, Mission 27 Resale Shop, and a variety of other activities in support of people in need. The organization's annual budget is approximately $2 million. The vision, as defined in the organization's 2019-2021 Strategic Plan, is to: "enhance lives, build an inclusive community, and grow the spirituality of its members while working toward long-term sustainability.
 
The appropriate candidate will have a similar passion for their community and a desire to support the organization in its continued growth. This is a full-time salaried position that will report to the Executive Director.
