This role will manage the grants process, including writing grant proposals and reports, keeping an up-to-date grant calendar, and managing relationships with foundations and government funders. The Coordinator will also help prepare and assist with donor communication, will maintain the donor database, will be responsible for event planning, and will conduct other tasks as necessary to ensure the success of the Clinic's development program.
The Clinic believes everyone should have access to justice regardless of their income, so we provide free legal services to those who cannot afford them. We're a faith-based organization that seeks to show God's heart for justice by serving and empowering all clients, regardless of background or religion. Our goal is to free our clients from the legal burdens that have kept them from flourishing. The Clinic has offices in Indianapolis and Fort Wayne, but we also provide services statewide.
Position Duties:
* Contact grants officers (along with E.D.) to discuss potential and current funding opportunities
* Meet weekly with E.D. to discuss grants calendar
* Write grant requests, including budget, and write and collect content for grant reports
* Compose summary for program staff for all received grants. Summary to include information regarding reporting deadlines, promised outcomes, budget, contacts, and personnel involved
* Communicate regularly with lead program staff to verify progress toward relevant grant outcomes
* Maintain grants management system
* Enter donations into donor database and run reports as requested
* With the Creative Engagement Coordinator, write thank you letters and fundraising solicitations
* Plan events as directed
* Assist Executive Director in scheduling donor meetings and engagement opportunities
* Four-year degree from an accredited college or university
* Experience with government grants preferred
* Experience with Salesforce or another donor database preferred
* Experience with fundraising and donor stewardship preferred
