The Income Support Coach links residents of the Far Eastside of Indianapolis to support services provided by the Community Alliance of the Far Eastside as well as co-located services and public agencies within the general community. The Income Support Coach will assess the needs of the Center for Working Families participants to determine their eligibility for income and work support benefit. Some evening and weekend hours required.
The Community Alliance of the Far Eastside is committed to working with the Far Eastside community and its families by guiding and connecting them with opportunities to become financially independent, to build assets and to lead and serve.
Program intake
1.       Conduct thorough intake to assess Center for Working Families participant's current financial needs and budget challenges.
2.       Identify and evaluate Center for Working Families participant's eligibility to secure income and work supports including social service assistance and/or needs.
Program Implementation
1.       Provide intensive coaching services.
2.       Assist clients in developing individualized plans.
3.       Ensure clients are aware of and are complying with assistance rules and regulations that impact eligibility.
Data Management and Reporting
1.       Understand data management protocols and procedures to ensure timely data entry and reporting.
2.       Review and update customer data records.
3.       Generate individual and aggregated reports to keep clients and program management informed about current trends and outcomes.

Program Integration
1.       Work as a member of the cross-functional team providing services to families enrolled in the Center for Working Families and other center initiatives.

Program Development
1.       Review best practices and stay up to date on the financial industry practices.
2.       Work in partnership with program director and financial coach to develop and implement financial education workshops that address the full spectrum of asset development.
3.       Work with others to continually identify areas of improvement.
4.       Monitor the ongoing provision of services from community agencies.
•         Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work or related field or equivalent work experience; with at least one year of case management/coaching experience.
•         Demonstrated ability and desire to provide confidential client care and guidance.
•         Requires patience, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•         Requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
•         Requires demonstrated knowledge of supportive services and other resources.
•         Ability to track and perform multiple tasks.
•         Requires cultural competence and appreciation of diversity.
•         Excellent time management skills.
•         Bi-lingual a plus
