The CHC Workforce Specialist reports to the CHC Program Director.  The CHC Workforce Specialist provides ongoing assistance and manages complex administrative functions that support the work of the IPHCA Center for Workforce Sustainability, including support of recruitment of health care professionals on behalf of Indiana Community Health Centers and support of health centers in their workforce development activities.  The CHC Workforce Specialist coordinates, schedules, and manages the candidate and job posting database, and assists with communication of activities for the Center.
Primary responsibilities include: under the direction of the program director, working with staff at Indiana CHCs to develop and maintain effective recruitment campaigns and materials for recruitment of health care professionals as requested through  open and responsive communication; following up on leads through coordination of advertisements, referrals, Internet sources, residency programs, job fairs and conventions, and mass mailings; maintaining all aspects of the candidate database; following through on the steps of the recruitment process; conducting sourcing, data entry, and posting website updates; assisting with compilation of monthly and annual reports; working collaboratively with and representing IPHCA and CHCs on 3RNet and Kontact Intelligence webinars; assisting with planning and coordination of the annual compensation and benefits survey of CHCs; supporting and scheduling activities of the Workforce Development Advisory Committee; facilitating the workforce listserv; maintaining workforce content on IPHCA website; assisting with design creation of marketing and advertisements; and planning/coordinating travel, meetings, and webinars.
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field is required, with one year related experience desired in a healthcare setting, preferably in sales, marketing, or recruiting with specific knowledge of the medical/physician community.  The position also requires the ability to multi-task, plan and prioritize a large volume of detail-oriented work, excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, demonstrated ability to conduct Internet research in an efficient, productive manner, ability to work with minimum supervision, set priorities, and follow through to accomplish results., extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft software including Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, and PowerPoint, and flexibility to work outside normal business hours as required to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.
