Community Impact Division
United Way of Central Indiana, recognizes that the key to success is a strong and cohesive team that works through shared values to achieve our mission. The Strategic Initiatives Associate is a member of the Community Impact (CI) Department. This position supports the work of the Strategic Initiatives team, with a specific focus on early childhood education and PreK. This position also works closely with the public policy team around PreK advocacy efforts.
Position Duties & Responsibilities
The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.  They are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of personnel so classified. 
• Serve as administrator of the Indy Preschool Scholarship Program
   o Manage relationships with implementation partners, including Child Care Answers, FSSA, Children's Bureau, City of Indianapolis
   o Convene and regularly update stakeholders
   o Track budget and expenditures and pay invoices
   o Collect outcomes data and report to funders
   o Work with the public policy team to provide data to support the advocacy agenda
   o Manage vendor contracts, including weekly updates around technology and enrollment
   o Respond to questions from providers and families
   o Prepare reports and provide support to UWCI leadership and volunteers
• Performs special assignments and other work on an as-needed basis.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree required. Two to four years related experience preferred. Work experience may substitute for educational requirements on a case by case basis. Proficient with technology and how to use data and analysis to communicate and present outcomes. High proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, required. Complete knowledge of managing data and tracking budgets required. Must have high level of organization and comfort communicating with professionalism to external and internal constituents of UWCI. Knowledge of nonprofit organizations preferred.
