Among the primary duties of the Financial Manager is assisting and advising the CEO in building and managing the budget in an ongoing way as needs, requests, concerns arise. The Financial Manager also serves as part of the Executive Leadership Team and works closely with the school's Board of Directors.

Covenant Christian High School is a college-preparatory Christian high school serving grades 9-12 on the west side of Indianapolis, IN. Covenant Christian High School opened in 1995, currently serves approximately 360 students, and is dedicated to providing an excellent, Christ-centered education, equipping students for a life of scholarship, leadership, and service.
 
Position Duties:
Among the primary duties of the Financial Manager is assisting and advising the CEO in building and managing the budget in an ongoing way as needs, requests, concerns arise. The Financial Manager also serves as part of the Executive Leadership Team, which is comprised of our Principal & CEO, Director of Advancement, Dean of Students, Academic Dean, and Academic Advisor. Close work will also be required with the Athletic Director, Facilities Manager, Communications Director, IT Director, outside auditing firm, banks, and insurance companies. Will also regularly interact with the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors. Candidates will supervise two Financial Associates in the Business Office and process payroll.
 
Candidates shall be highly organized and capable of implementing financial, human resources, and financial aid policies and practices in diligent and effective ways. The successful candidate will be able to engage, nurture, and assist staff in understanding and developing best financial practices, as well as in designing and implementing human resource policies and benefit and compensation programs. Additionally, the successful candidate will be able to work closely with parents, especially in the areas of assessing financial need for tuition assistance and collecting tuition receivables. Candidates should be passionate about financial accountability and organizational sustainability, as well as serving the faculty, staff, and parents as internal and external customers.
 
Position Qualifications:
A bachelor's or master's degree in Business or Accounting is preferred. Experience in fund accounting and at least five years of supervisory responsibilities and executive level collaboration is required. A CPA license is a positive but not a necessity.
