The Urban Tech Job Developer will develop employment partnerships with local IT companies, or companies providing IT job opportunities for Urban Tech Jobs Program (UTJP) participants.  Develops IT internship opportunities with local companies, and monitors UTJP internship placements and completions. Provides Senior Director with internship stipend requests bi-weekly, and disseminates stipend payments to UTJP interns; assists with facilitating monthly work readiness workshops; assists with updating IUL job board with IT job postings; reviews UTJP resumes and ensures hiring requirements are met for specific IT positions, assists with developing IT hiring initiatives; and networks and promotes UTJP awareness in public and private sectors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Works closely with Senior Director and IUL President and CEO to market UTJP Program to potential employers
• Assists with providing direct career coaching services to UTJP participants
• Communicates with public via email and/or telephone about UTJP
• Assists with confirming and documenting internship placements and retention, and provides data monthly to WD Senior Director
• Assists IUL Training Works Coordinator with identifying IT training opportunities,
• Provides job search techniques and labor market information during monthly work readiness workshops
• Work closely with employers to maximize student employment retention and success
• Conducts job search skills and mock interviewing workshops
• Communicates with prospective program participants about UTJP 
• Assists with scheduling interviews and provide retention services to UTJP program participants and employers
• Enters all data into ETO and Urban Tech PDM databases
• Conduct monthly follow-up with UTJP program participants placed in internships
• Attend workshops, seminars  or conferences annually to further enhance skills, knowledge and capacity as Workforce Development Professional
• Carry out other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) preferred from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
Knowledge of Spanish desirable but not required.
