Indiana Youth Group (IYG), an organization that serves LGBTQ+ youth, seeks an individual to lead and manage all functions of public engagement.  
Position description
This position is full time and salaried with benefits. The Director of Engagement reports to the President/CEO and works closely in partnership with them to oversee and execute a comprehensive development and marketing strategy
Position requirements
•         Bachelor's Degree (required), Master's Degree (a plus)
•         Minimum of 3 years required experience in development, fundraising, or related experience in a non-profit environment; 5 years (preferred)
•         Familiarity with, and a passion for LGBT issues
•         High energy, positive leadership, "can-do" attitude, flexibility, and capacity to work independently and as part of a team
•         Demonstrated excellence organizing, managing, and communicating with staff/volunteers
•         Experience researching grant opportunities, structuring, writing, and editing persuasive proposals
•         Superior verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, taking initiative, and discretion are essential.
•         Ability to exercise good judgment in prioritizing multiple tasks and making independent decisions
•         Interest in developing staff and volunteers as future leaders  
•         Strong partnership building, marketing, and event planning skills
•         Experience with web and multimedia based electronic and social media fundraising campaigns
•         Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends as necessary.
•         Proficient computer skills
•         Design, execute, and evaluate fund development and marketing plan/strategies with the support of the President/CEO to meet programming needs
•         Expand and maintain relationships with strategic partners
•         Secure financial support from individuals, corporations, foundations, and government sources
•         Manage and grow annual giving, including expansion of an existing monthly contributor base
•         Develop and track grant-funding proposals and work with the Director of Operations to prepare reports.
•         Oversee organization and production of special events with the support of volunteer teams.
•         Develop and supervise legacy giving program
•         Create integrated marketing/fundraising campaigns including content for printed and online fundraising materials
•         Ensure all donors are appropriately thanked and receive regular communication; make donor stewardship a priority throughout the organization.
•         Manage database and develop donor profiles; supervise data entry and maintain security and quality controls; produce reports as requested
•         Track and report cash and in-kind donations.
•         Coordinate with 3rd party individuals and organizations wishing to host events that benefit IYG financially
•         Enhance board members' ability to identify and cultivate donor prospects
•         Participate in board meetings, strategic and budget planning as needed
