Hollis Adams is a privately funded 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to develop friendships and make connections within the community by engaging in fun, meaningful activities. Through a variety of experiences, including physical activity, music, art, and nature activities, we empower adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to make choices, continue learning, and interact with their peers and the community.
We are seeking an experienced, high-energy individual to join our program staff and help provide a safe, and caring environment that promotes relationships and supports physical and emotional well-being.
The ideal candidate will be able to work with other program staff to develop activities and plan outings that facilitate our participants engaging with the community. This is accomplished through engaging daily community-based outings, weekly dances and special events.
This is a part-time position (26-30 hours/week) with no benefits. 
Duties include:
A. Maintaining a positive work environment that promotes participant interaction and involvement within the group, daily activities, and in the community
B. Developing and planning new activities and ideas
C. Engaging all participants in a variety of activities suited to their ability and preference
D. Supporting informed choices by participants by encouraging them to try new things and experiences
E. Assisting with daily lunch preparation, including basic cooking, serving, and cleaning
F. Assisting with weekly Hollis Adams dance program
G. Operating the HAF 15-passenger bus in a safe manner observing all applicable laws and Hollis Adams policies and procedures (no special license required)
H. Administering medication for all necessary participants according to Hollis Adams Medication Administration Policy
I. Collaborating with other team members to facilitate engagement of participants
J. Helping with fundraising events as requested by the Executive Director or the Program Manager
K. Other duties as assigned
A. Experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
B. Current Driver's License and clean driving record
