The Fred S. Klipsch Educators College at Marian University seeks qualified applicants for a part-time On-Call Health Educator for Ruth Lilly Health Education at Marian University. On-Call Health Educators will provide engaging standards-based health education programs primarily for Pre K – 12th grade students on an as-needed, part-time basis. Ruth Lilly Health Education at Marian University programs will be at schools or community sites in Indianapolis and central Indiana, or at Marian University.
The ideal candidates will have:
• Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of Marian University.
• Degree in health, health education or related field; Master's degree preferred, but not required.
• Certified Health Education Specialist Certification (CHES), preferred.
• Outstanding teaching skills and evidence of excellence in teaching and developing health education curriculum.

Primary Responsibilities:
o Present existing Ruth Lilly Health Education program.
o Assist with the development of health education program curriculum, as appropriate.
o Engage students actively using effective teaching skills and methods.
o Participate in program training, as needed.
o Other responsibilities as assigned.

o Teaching experience - either formal or informal, or recent coursework in health education or related courses of study.
o Health education experience preferred.
o Experience with K-12 students.
o Ability to engage students in educational and fun activities.
o Curriculum development experience.
o Ability to handle multiple tasks.
o Creativity, energy, patience, and flexibility.
o Comfort with videoconference technology or willingness to learn.
o Flexible availability.
o Reliable transportation.
o Computer and Internet access.
