The Development Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day administrative functions of the foundation including, but not limited to, gift processing, donor acknowledgement, event coordination, communications with key stakeholders and board meeting preparation.
Key Initiatives:
• Oversee all gift processing and donor acknowledgements.
• Event planning duties include managing the calendar of events, finding venues and determining invite populations.
• Meet and/or communicate with pertinent stakeholders to determine details of events.
• Obtain services of vendors consistent with event budget, securing venues, obtaining and/or producing guest lists, and assisting on site.
• Create and distribute marketing materials by mail or electronically to grow event attendance. 
• Prepare event materials including nametags, registration lists with key information about attendees for staff and promotional/development materials.
• Coordinate travel, lodging and expenses for constituents including board members, staff and other participants
• Coordinate follow-up communications and ensure attendee information is updated in the foundation's database. 
• Work with the CEO to coordinate semi-annual Board meetings, semi-annual Board teleconferences, and all Board committee meetings.
• Prepare all board materials including materials for all working committees.
Demonstrated organizational and communication skills as well as the ability to work independently and within a team environment. Understanding of a nonprofit organization and its operational structure.  Willingness and ability to travel occasionally and to work nights and weekends, as required. Two to four years of nonprofit or administrative experience required.
