The Workforce Development Part Time (PT) Program Assistant will provide administrative support to the Sr. Director of Workforce Development and secondary support administratively to other department staff and program participants.  The Program Assistant will provide case management for employed and active Workforce Development program participants, and enter and maintain all client data into departmental spreadsheets and Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) database.     

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Provide secretarial and office administration support to Senior Program Director;
• Organize and maintain participants files, print, collate, and distribute program materials;
• Maintain program attendance records, update departmental spreadsheets, and enter client data and demographics into client tracking system (ETO);  
• Update client tracking system (ETO) with program participant's case notes and  supportive service requests;
• Communicate with public and program participants via email and/or telephone about Workforce Development programs and services;
• Answers public and participant questions regarding workshop schedules, trainings, and Workforce Development events;
• Assists with distributing bus passes and gas cards to program participants;
• Provide retention services to active and employed program participants;
• Conduct monthly follow-up with active and employed program participants;
• Attend workshops, seminars  or conferences annually to further enhance skills, knowledge and capacity as a Workforce Development Professional;
• Carry out other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) preferred from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Knowledge of Spanish desirable, but not required.
 
WORK HOURS
9:30am-4:00pm Monday through Friday
