Reports to: Executive Director

The donor engagement manager develops, plans, implements and evaluates all aspects of FACE Low-Cost Animal Clinic's annual fund and other fundraising initiatives. 
Essential Functions:
•  In conjunction with the Executive Director, develops and implements an annual fund solicitation plan that includes fundraising strategies across multiple audiences and vehicles.
•  Cultivates, stewards and solicits donors and prospects through individual face-to-face meetings/contacts.
•  Manages a portfolio of donors and meets related fundraising goals.
•  Writes grant proposals and grant reports; manages grant lifecycles, including submission and reporting deadlines.
•  Coordinates direct mail program with development operations manager.
•  Participates in developing supporting communication strategies related to the fundraising process. 
•  Works with donors and program staff in designating gifts such as memorial/honorary gifts and special project or program initiatives.
•  Oversees sustainer program, comprised of monthly/quarterly donors.
•  Collaborates with development operations manager to advance the organization's stewardship efforts.
•  As part of the organization's management team, helps set, measure and meet the organization's fundraising goals.
•  Cultivate and secure donor commitment to the planned giving program.
•  Represents organization at events/meetings within the community as needed.
Other Responsibilities:
•  Participates in management meetings.
•  Oversees reporting of fundraising activities and impact.
•  Works cooperatively with all team members.
•  Report to work on time, and ready to work.
•  Provide prompt, attentive, and friendly customer service.
•  Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Education and/or Experience:
•  Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
•  Three or more years of experience within fundraising or a related field.
•  Experience building and maintaining long-term relationships with donors.
•  Computer skills required: Microsoft Office, CRM software, graphic design software, and email marketing software.
•  Must have a valid driver's license.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
•  Occasionally required to stand.
•  Noise level is quiet to moderate.
•  Must occasionally lift and/or move more than 35-40 lbs. unassisted.
•  Comfortable working around sick, injured, or unruly animals.
