Coburn Place Safe Haven, the largest and most comprehensive transitional housing program in Indianapolis for victims of intimate partner violence, is seeking a full-time Housing Advocate. The Housing Advocate represents the core values and mission of Coburn Place and is responsible for providing one-on-one support for all adult program participants to realize their permanent housing goals; facilitating housing workshops and Rent Smart curriculum; and developing relationships with housing providers in the greater Indianapolis area.

Coburn Place offers supportive services and housing options to survivors of intimate partner violence. We utilize a compassionate model of voluntary/trauma-informed services to focus on the overall well-being of the person while addressing barriers to safety, self-sufficiency and permanent housing. Position Duties
The Housing Advocate represents the core values and mission of Coburn Place and is responsible for providing one-on-one support for all adult program participants to realize their permanent housing goals; facilitating housing workshops and Rent Smart curriculum; and developing relationships with housing providers in the greater Indianapolis area. Position Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (B.A./B.S.) in business or other related field; and two plus year's related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Previous experience in a non-for-profit environment working with domestic violence survivors is required. Previous work and/or knowledge in fair housing practices and low-income housing programs/services is required. Must have a clear MVR, valid Indiana driver's license, clear DCS history, and clear criminal and sex offender background checks.  E-Verify is required. Previous work in and/or knowledge of housing programs and services required. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is desired. Client database experience (ClientTrack, ALICE, etc.) is desired.
