The Indiana Association for the Education of Young Children (INAEYC) is looking for a multi-talented Project Assistant to start immediately.  On a daily basis, this job is 50% administrative work and 50% graphic design work.  The right candidate will ensure the daily operations of the office run smooth with customer relations as a priority.  They will also be excited about the opportunity to design compelling print, digital, and web materials that raises our visibility and helps maintain a consistent brand identity.

Purpose: To provide quality assurance and administrative support to Association projects and events while designing and branding all Association electronic and print media.   

1. Associate degree in graphic design, marketing, business or related field. Bachelor's degree preferred.
2. Good understanding of office management and marketing principles.
3. Minimum of three years of experience in writing and communications.
4. High level of organizational and communication skills.
5. Demonstrated ability to work well with diverse customer populations.
6. Ability to foster effective working relationships within a team environment.
7. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively at all levels of the Association.
8. Computer skills using Adobe Creative Cloud, (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access and Outlook); Basic Web Design a plus.
9. Writing, editing, and proofing skills.
10. Ability to adapt readily to change.
11. Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time
12. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Position Responsibilities:

Branding and Design
1. Create, edit, and maintain membership and project content and tools for Association;
2. Maintain branding for Association social media;
3. Design, review, maintain, and edit or recommend revisions for all published Association print media, including but not limited to: event, project specific, Association tools, and presentations;
4. Collaborate with Senior Directors to design member recognition content and tools; and
5. Develop and provide quality assurance for the branding and design for local and statewide professional development opportunities.

Quality Assurance
1. Create and maintain Association files in accordance with strict federal and state requirements;
2. Track incoming project applications, review for completeness using appropriate screening tools, and advise on missing documentation according to Association procedures; and
3. Treat information on Indiana Association for the Education of Young Children clients (individual people and organizations), staff and Board members in a confidential manner.
Administrative Support
1. Enthusiastically answer questions about membership in the Association, its mission and its projects.  Assist new members with the enrollment process.  Ensure that members are increasingly gaining personal value from their membership in the association by providing exceptional customer service.
2. Produce information by formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics;
3. Assist Senior Directors with Advisory Committees;
4. Responsible for ensuring a high level of customer service and support to all Association members and customers by managing telephone systems, entrance access, incoming and outgoing mail, fax and email systems; assist in the creation and management of postage and mailings for all Association business; 
5. Inventory, track, order, and distribute all office supplies; 
6. Along with all Indiana AEYC staff, maintain the cleanliness of the IAEYC conference rooms, kitchen and front office; and
7. Performs other tasks as requested.
