Lasting Change Inc. is the parent company of Lifeline Youth & Family Services and Crosswinds Counseling.  Due to our continued growth, we are seeking to expand our executive leadership team with a new Chief Development Officer (CDO).  The CDO is responsible for the direction and successful operation of the Lasting Change, Inc. Development department.
 
Responsibilities
• To lead business operations through the Lasting Change Inc.'s (LCI) mission of changing hearts and bringing hope to individuals, families and communities by ensuring adherence of LCI core values of
 (i) a commitment to the Great Commission and) an adherence to biblical teachings
 (ii) consider families the foundation of our success
 (iii) operate our organization as a business with biblical stewardship principles.
• Resource Generation: Cultivate and steward critical relationships to reach organizational scale and sustainability goals. Execute ambitious but achievable annual and long-term plans for revenue generation and partnership creation.
• Strategy Development: Lead strategy development for revenue generation and the identification of major partners to support growth and program quality. Collaborate with President & CEO and Board to refine the organization's economic model, and sustainability strategies.
• Operations and Capacity Building: Enhance and maintain the systems and infrastructure, including team management, for all fundraising functions, including major giving, planned giving, grant acquisition, donor recognition, and stewardship.
• Stewardship of Partnerships: Strategize with development team on approaches to building important and sustained cross sector partnerships that include individuals and community agencies that are both revenue generating and influence and enable LCI's work with families and individuals directly and indirectly.
• Leadership:  Provide strategic direction to department.  Serve as business partner to CEO to help provide financial guidance, recommendations, and strategy.
• Evaluation and guidance to the administrative activities to ensure maximization of profitability and efficiency.
• Lead the development department:
 a. Provide oversight of departmental goals and objectives
 b. Actively seek and write grant opportunities
 c. Coordinate fundraising events
 d. Solicit and develop through corporate donors
 e. Build community branding and develop individual donors
 f. Provide oversight and approval of the annual development budget
 
• Evaluate procedures and implement efficiencies when applicable.  Special Projects:  The CDO will be assigned special projects throughout the year by the CEO and that will in some way or matter touch the CDO's area of responsibility.
• Serve as business partner to executive leadership team including; Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and other Executive Vice President officers.  
• Understand the strategic plan and those areas that fall within the CDO's scope of responsibility or are assigned to.
• Attend all board, leadership, and officer's meetings.
• Meet individually with the CEO on a weekly basis.
• Other duties as assigned by the CEO.
 
Qualifications:
• Related Bachelor's degree, or Master's Degree preferred.
• Minimum of five years' experience in fundraising and development.
• Proven success in fundraising and development initiatives. 
• Excellent oral, written and public speaking skills. 
• Possess the ability to motivate and maintain effective working relationships with staff and   partners.
• Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
