The FIRST intern position is a part-time (average of 10 to 15 hours/week) position created to build, implement and manage Triangle's national partnership with FIRST.
Job Details & Pay:
• Internship will start ASAP and end on May 31, 2019
• Internship is paid at $12.00 an hour
• Intern may operate at the Triangle HQ in Plainfield, IN or remotely.
• Light travel to FIRST events will be expected.  All travel related expenses will be covered by the Foundation.

Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Personally, contact all chapters to:
• Identify FIRST contact person
• Identify FIRST alumni within the chapter
• Provide area/regional FIRST contacts
• Provide FIRST volunteer resources
• Build FIRST involvement plan and timeline
2. Create or adapt volunteer resources to co-brand with Triangle and meet the needs of our member volunteers and chapters.
3. Specifically recruit and build opportunities for undergraduates and alumni with teams and regional events located in the Mid-Atlantic region and the state of Utah.
4. Communicate with FIRST regional or national officials to gather helpful information to share with our membership and/or or provide updates as to Triangle progress.
5. Work with Triangle communication staff to provide information segmented regionally about event volunteer opportunities available to the Triangle membership.
6. Build a Triangle Board of Advisors to help guide Triangle's involvement with FIRST, review grant applications and serve as a resource on FIRST.
7. Work with staff to communicate and publicize the Foundation's FIRST Grant Program, review and qualify applications, make recommendations for funding and provide post-funding reports on grant status and outcomes.
8. Identify candidates for the FIRST Intern for the 2019 – 2020 school year.
9. Build master data set of contacts, resources and events and inform our volunteers of opportunities in their area.
10. Record volunteer efforts and resulting hours/dollars to support FIRST.  Build regular reports showing activity and progress.
11. Provide administrative support, such as but not limited to, processing requests for information, and handle incoming phone calls and written communications on an as-needed basis.
12. Continually update and maintain database records of Triangle members based on contacts made during the job.
13. Provide year-end report by May 31, 2019 outline progress towards goals, key accomplishments and recommendations for the 2019 – 2020 school year.
14. Update and refine five-year plan for Triangle's involvement with FIRST.  Plan should outline key milestones, timeline and budget needs.

• Report directly to the Foundation's President.
• Report indirectly to the Fraternity's Executive Director.
• Interact regularly with the staff of the Fraternity, Foundation and Housing Corporation.
• Interact regularly with Fraternity undergraduate members and alumni.

• Excellent communication and written skills
• Preferred knowledge/exposure to the FIRST Robotics programs
• Preferred member of Triangle Fraternity
• Strong organizational and project management skills
