The Nature Conservancy is seeking a new Indiana State Director! We seek a strong collaborative leader, capable of engaging and inspiring staff and trustees, and the many donors, partners, and stakeholders we work with and depend upon. This leader will have a deep and abiding love of nature, which manifests itself as a passion for conservation. They will possess a deep curiosity and respect for people, which fuels a desire to learn from others with varied perspectives and experiences. Through combining these passions, this person can play a powerful role in addressing the complex challenges that confront our vision for a world where people and nature thrive.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and minimum of 7 years of experience as a leader in the conservation arena, non-profit sector, advocacy, or related for-profit area. They will have extensive management experience including the ability to motivate, lead, set objectives, manage budgets and the performance of a large multi-disciplinary team. Innovation, drive for success, board development, partnership building, complex problem-solving skills, fundraising experience, and excellent communication and presentation skills are required. Aptitude in the ag industry and corporate sustainability background is highly desirable.
