This position is full-time and time-limited to September 30, 2020.
The Development Officer at the IU Robert H. McKinney School of Law is responsible for identifying and qualifying new major gift prospects, cultivating relationships, and soliciting leadership annual giving donors in Indiana and nationally. The purpose of the position is to help complete the law school's goal toward Indiana University's Bicentennial Campaign, which will conclude on June 30, 2020, and to identify and qualify new leadership and major gift prospects.
The position is 100% front-line fundraising and individual goals for major giving qualification and solicitation, and leadership annual giving solicitations will be established.
Minimum 2 years professional experience in fundraising or related industry strongly preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills and judgment suitable for exercising appropriate discretion and demeanor when dealing with donors, prospects, and colleagues. Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred; and/or previous face-to-face fundraising experience.
