The GOAL Manager leads the GOAL Team, a team currently comprised of four staff serving nearly 100 homeless youth annually. The GOAL team functions in partnership with local school districts serving youth identified by those schools.  The responsibility of this role is providing leadership and development for the GOAL Team to increase the health & capacity of homeless youth via 1-1 youth interactions and group programming.  Please refer to the Outreach website for an overview of the GOAL program.

Position Duties & Responsibilities
The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of personnel.

Leadership
• Coach GOAL Team to increase homeless youth health & capacity via 1-1 interactions and group programming.
• Supervise team members, holding staff accountable to both individual and team performance metrics.
• Lead weekly GOAL Team meetings, coaching team and sharing vital information.
• Oversee and coordinate quarterly events (spring, summer, fall, winter celebrations), Life Skills Curriculum, Senior Pictures, Senior Camping Trip, Post-Secondary Options Event, College visits and monthly Volunteer Outing with youth.
• Facilitate regular evaluations for GOAL Team staff.
• Work alongside CEO and Leadership Team to strategically plan for expansion of the GOAL program.

Administration
• Assess program effectiveness and make improvements where appropriate.
• Review and monitor weekly Salesforce reports.
• Oversee GOAL annual budget ensuring that team stays within budget, accurately assigns class to expenses and stays within spending guidelines.
• Oversees hiring and firing of GOAL Team staff.
• Approve or deny GOAL Team staff vacation and spiritual formation day requests.

Community / School Connection
• Point of contact for all GOAL youth referrals, identifying youth who meet the criteria for the program and connecting them with an appropriate team member.
• Bi-monthly, visit each contracted school in order to connect with social workers and school administrators.
• Oversee (and respond to if necessary) all GOAL triage/referral calls outside of Marion County or non-contracted schools.
• Responsible for turning in quarterly reports to schools.

Staff Responsibilities
• Participate in weekly Leadership Team meeting.
• Coordinate with Volunteer Manager to ensure that programs are staffed effectively.
• Consults with Outreach accounting department to ensure monthly invoices are submitted to schools.
• Attend staff, team, and department meetings, including team trainings.
• Participate in bi-annual team and individual evaluation.
• Participates in annual youth events and programs which further Outreach's mission and ensure sustainability of organization and its program offerings.
• Maintain accurate documentation of staff interactions and provide regular reporting to supervisor. 
• Attend local conferences and workshops that relate to homelessness.

Work Environment
This position operates in an office environment. The individual is expected to maintain personal/professional competency and works to create an environment of courtesy, respect, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude in all interactions both internal and external to the organization.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee has the potential to encounter unpredictable clients. Individuals must possess a working knowledge of de-escalation techniques and conflict resolution skills. The position has mostly an inside work environment and occasional outside work with exposure to weather conditions.  This role requires a significant amount of driving and work onsite at contracted schools in the Indianapolis area. 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time salaried position and requires the ability to be flexible in your day-to-day work schedule including evenings. Days and hours of work are subject to GOAL schedule. Outreach is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Preferred Education and Experience
• College Degree required. Individuals who have training and experience may qualify as professionals in the field on a case by case basis.
• Requires at least 1-year of managerial experience working for a community organization or a combination of volunteer, work, and educational experiences.
• Individual is required to possess highly developed relational, advocacy, conflict resolution, cultural competency and group facilitation skills.
