Marian University is seeking a Staff Assistant in our Exchange Department. The Staff Assistant will be a vital member of the Exchange team – an initiative dedicated to community engagement and post-graduate student success through mentoring, career development opportunities, and experiential projects for students and the community. The Staff Assistant will manage all aspects of digital marketing for the office (in coordination with Marketing and Communications), will support all team members, vitally contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of The Exchange; and other projects as assigned.

Responsibilities:
• Reception area (first line of contact with students, faculty/staff and community partners utilizing The Exchange). Provide a warm greeting and high-quality, responsive customer service and telephone support to all guests and visitors to The Exchange.
• Quickly and thoroughly triage inquiries to answer any/all questions possible and to refer to team members for additional support.
• Experience working with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds strongly desired.
• Digital marketing (including social media, bi-weekly newsletter, and website maintenance and refreshing).
• Collect information from team members' calendars and within team meetings to write content, develop visually appealing marketing material, track the success of all marketing efforts, and continuously improve and refine those efforts accordingly. 
• Manage "Dress to Impress" closet (soliciting in-kind contributions, keeping inventory organized and updated, promoting to students and coordinating utilization). Develop comprehensive marketing plan each semester to increase awareness and utilization of the closet. Establish/maintain partnership(s) with community organizations for exchange of contributions.
• Administrative functions: including space/parking reservations, supplies, IT requests, project and event support, scheduling, distribution and management of CliftonStrengths codes, data entry and management within Career Service Management system, Handshake, etc.
• Take initiative and anticipate office needs to ensure work for all team members runs smoothly.
• Desire a detail-oriented self-starter who can be given a need or objective, break it down into executable pieces, identify questions that need to be asked, gather priorities and requirements, set and manage progress toward goals, and executive effectively.
• Collaborate with Exchange staff to assess and track outcomes for the success of the Exchange, students, and graduates.
• Collect data around social media posts and outreach.
• Work with Data Specialist to prepare semi-annual reports highlighting efforts of the office, student success, and progress toward team goals.
• Other assistance to Executive Director and Exchange staff as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree (all majors will be considered).
