The Zionsville Chamber of Commerce is a membership organization focused on providing business advocacy, education and resources.  We are  looking for a full-time events manager to manage our special events and monthly chamber activities.  Looking for a self-starter that can take ownership and produce quality events.

Candidates for the position of Event Manager will have the following experience and abilities:
• 2-3 years of event management experience.
• Experience with managing or chairing events for nonprofit organizations a plus.
• Experience with managing and coordinating a volunteer base. Knowledge of volunteer management software a plus.
• Capacity for assessing events and working with Executive Director to determine event return on investment.
• Talent for creating innovative new events or reworking current events.
• Ability to create, follow and manage a budget. Microsoft Excel experience a must to create event financial analysis for staff and board.
• Working knowledge of Constant Contact.
• Proficient in multiple social media platforms and their use for promoting events. Facebook, Twitter and Instagram are primary platforms with expansion to emerging platforms expected.
• Aptitude on Microsoft Office platforms. Experience with WebLink or similar CRM software a plus.
• Knowledge of local business community and government officials a plus.
• Ability to be flexible with weekly schedule as major fundraising events occur. Excellent time management skills required.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with Chamber stakeholders, staff and board required.
