Imagine the despair a family feels after receiving a serious diagnosis for their child? What about the financial burden of travel and temporary living on top of medical expenses? You can help ensure a comfortable resting place in a supportive environment for the parents and families of children receiving treatment at local pediatric hospitals.

Each year, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Indiana touches the lives of 5,000 families and children by providing a place of refuge and peace for families of children who travel to Indianapolis for medical treatment. The two Ronald McDonald Houses in Indianapolis offer many of the comforts of home including restful places to sleep, spacious kitchens and dining rooms, play areas, a library, laundry facilities, and more. Volunteers from the community prepare home cooked meals for breakfast and dinner daily and a well-stocked pantry provides staples for guests. The main house is off West Michigan across from Riley Hospital while the second house provides multiple rooms within Riley Hospital.

RMHC of Central Indiana, is an independent 501c3 nonprofit and relies on community support, volunteers and generous donors to offer these enriching experiences at little to no cost to families.
RMHC of Central Indiana  is searching for a compassionate, service-minded CEO who will lead the organization to provide the best possible support solutions for families and improve the well-being of guest children. The CEO will be a strategic partner and foster collaborative relationships with staff, the board of directors, and key stakeholders including local area hospitals, RMHC global and its network of Chapters, and McDonalds related entities to steward and grow long-term organizational sustainability. A key to success will be their approachable and engaging style, transparent leadership, and willingness to listen to and empower staff and volunteers.
The CEO will serve as the external face of RMHC of Central Indiana and cultivate relationships with donors and the philanthropic community, media, and corporate partners. Over the next two years, the RMHC of Central Indiana will be preparing for a capital campaign to expand our capacity and impact.
Core responsibilities include fundraising, facility planning and capital campaign development, leading and mentoring a high performing staff team, supporting strong volunteer engagement strategies, overseeing marketing and communications functions, and providing board support and development. Capable staff of 15 and $2.5 mil annual budget.
• Bachelor's Degree required (Master's degree preferred)
• A minimum of 5-8 years of progressive leadership experience, ideally within a social- services nonprofit organization
• The ability to display compassion and empathy to grieving families
• Experience cultivating relationships with community partners and donors
• A proven track record of substantially increasing and sustaining organizational revenue (experience leading a capital campaign a plus)
• Experience working with a volunteer base and ability to support an effective volunteer engagement process
• Proven ability to foster a collaborative work culture and staff development
• Strong interpersonal skills; outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Strong marketing and public relations experience with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders
• Budgeting and financial management experience
• Demonstrated success developing and implementing a strategic plan
