The Corporate Giving Coordinator assists with the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of corporate donors in order to increase philanthropic support for Newfields' operations and programs. Primary responsibilities include prospect research, proposal and report preparation, donor stewardship, and benefits and recognition fulfillment.  The Corporate Giving Coordinator may also direct and manage the activities of seasonal interns. Excellent oral and written communications skills and attention to details are essential. Must be able to juggle multiple, concurrent projects and seek information/project planning details from multiple, internal departments.

Primary Responsibilities:
The following responsibilities describe the general nature of work for employees in this position, but this is not intended as an exclusive or all - inclusive inventory.
 
Prospect Management & Research 
• Identify prospective corporate funding sources through directories, periodicals, internet research, and lead-follow-up from other members of the Advancement Team.
• In tandem with the Corporate Giving Officer, identify giving priorities of existing corporate donors for future proposal preparation.
• Work cross-departmentally to learn about long-term exhibition, program, and event planning in order to identify corporate giving and recognition opportunities. Cultivation & Solicitation Support
• Draft proposals based on institutional priorities and needs of the funders; work with Marketing to determine type and value of benefits to be offered.
• Maintain proposal calendar and/or track all completed and pending tasks in Raiser's Edge database.  Stewardship & Benefit Fulfillment
• Work cross-departmentally to collect and synthesize institutional data to prepare stewardship reports for all corporate donors.
• Craft timely pledge and gift acknowledgments for all corporate support.
• Provide administrative support for all benefit fulfillment, including ensuring all corporate recognition requirements, credit lines, etc. are accurate and satisfactory to the corporate donors.
• Assist with corporate event planning and execution as needed.

Required Skills:
• Exceptional persuasive writing and proposal-creation skills
• High level of organization and accuracy
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Social media, and experience with Raiser's Edge or other donor database preferred
• High degree of creativity, energy, and initiative is essential
• Strong commitment to team work and ability to work effectively across multiple departments
• Demonstrated flexibility in meeting shifting priorities and donor needs
• Must reflect an optimistic, persevering, and positive attitude
 
Education and/or Experience:
• Undergraduate degree required; minimum two year's work experience in a not-for-profit preferred
• Experience in marketing and/or donor relations preferred
