The Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for the planning and implementation of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Indiana's (RMHCCIN) internal and external communication and public relations strategy. This position is responsible for advancing the organization's brand and increasing community engagement with RMHCCIN. Other primary responsibilities include: enhancing donor stewardship touches and building community support through newsletters (electronic and print), annual reports, press releases and media relations, website content, e-marketing, social networking and other public relations and marketing platforms.
Communications and Public Relations
A. Build strong working relationships with local media outlets to build the RMHCCIN brand.
B. Prepare and implement the annual communications plan to accompany annual development plan.
C. Develop marketing plans for new and established programs and initiatives.
D. Manage website content to ensure all information is updated and relevant.
E. Work closely with the Marketing and Design Specialist to create material and collateral that reflect and advance the Ronald McDonald House brand and image for both internal and external use.
F. Work closely with the Marketing and Design Specialist to ensure all brand standards are executed across digital and print materials and serve as the staff resource for all issues related to brand usage.
F.   Coordinate, write and edit the content and publication of print and electronic newsletters and annual report. Serve as the House liaison with printer and mail house entities. 
G.  Promote RMHCIN by speaking to groups and organizations as requested and developing content to train staff and volunteers to represent RMHCCIN effectively.
H.  Work across all departments to create marketing materials, brochures, cards, fliers and posters, etc. geared towards donors, volunteers and guest families. 
I.   Send regular press releases and follow up with key contacts to promote media presence.
J.  Work closely with Marketing and Design Specialist to develop and manage e-marketing, digital and social media strategies.
K.  Coordinate design and production of RMHCCIN apparel and promotional items.
L.  Work with outside groups (third party events) to enhance their ability to build and promote special event fundraisers to benefit the House.
M.  Manage House tour program.
Other Duties
A. Provide direct supervision to the Marketing and Design Specialist.
B. Ability to represent RMHCCIN with the media as requested.
C. Assist other departments as appropriate and as directed by supervisor.
D. Serve on assigned committees, providing staff support as requested.
E. Contribute to RMHCCIN team efforts by maintaining positive, supportive, and flexible working relationships with staff and volunteers in the support of the House's mission to serve families of seriously ill or injured children being cared for at area hospitals. 
F. Participate in all House-related special events when appropriate.
G. Perform other related duties as assigned.  
A. Proficient knowledge of website systems, Microsoft Office, social media tools and content management systems, and Adobe CS.
B. Detail-oriented, excellent planning and organizational skills, including the ability to anticipate tasks, set priorities and meet deadlines; self-motivated.
C. Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or equivalent with 3 – 5 years working experience.
D. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
E. Ability to work flexible hours and with some local travel.
F. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive demeanor and welcoming presence; team player.
