SAWs Mission and Description: Servants at Work, Inc. is an ecumenical nonprofit organization dedicated to building wooden wheelchair ramps at no cost for low-income, permanently or long-term disabled persons. Our ramps provide dignity, independence and freedom for the individual to enter and exit their home without assistance and frees the caregiver who otherwise would have to carry or drag the individual in and out of the home. While service to the client remains tantamount, SAWs also seeks to transform the lives of our hundreds of volunteers by providing a meaningful experience that changes lives to the glory of God.

Job Summary:
The Administrative Assistant will perform a variety of functions that are essential in helping us most efficiently achieve our mission. Duties include the daily processing of donations, the prompt mailing of acknowledgement letters, managing the mailing process, working with our vendors as needed, taking minutes at board meetings and coordinating work with office volunteers.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• General office support including checking P.O. Box daily, sorting mail and preparing deposits
• Process donations by entering data into DonorSnap
• Promptly Send out acknowledgement letters for donations
• Prepare mailings such as appeals and newsletters and deliver to post office
• Take minutes for Executive Committee meeting and Board of Directors meetings
• Handle registrations for classes and special events
• Send out mass emails such as quarterly newsletter
• Assist with event planning as needed
• Assist with database cleanup as needed
• Assist with volunteer efforts as needed
• Assist with the administration work for IHCDA- mailing out packets, calling clients, tracking documents, etc.
• Work with office volunteers to ensure their tasks are completed (waiver forms, etc.)
• Serve as the point of contact for Thursday office cleaning
• Keep inventory of apparel and track sales
• Scan and update calendar for grants received
• Schedule conference room meetings on shared calendar
• Other duties as assigned
