Enroll Indy is seeking a new Executive Director as its Founding Executive Director steps down in 2019. Enroll Indy is a nonprofit entity that oversees school enrollment for Indianapolis Public Schools and charter schools, with a focus on equity and empowering parents.

Launched in 2015, Enroll Indy is a nonprofit organization focused on streamlining the school enrollment process in Indianapolis. Our mission is to help families choose schools that meet their children's needs by providing a one-stop enrollment process, school information that is relevant and easy to understand, and data to inform on policymakers where improvement is most needed in Indianapolis. We believe that all students deserve to go to a great school that meets their unique needs, and we are working toward making this process easier for families. 
Enroll Indy's Founder is stepping down after the start of the 2019-20 school year, and the Board of Directors seeks applicants for the Executive Director role. The Executive Director will lead the organization in the next iteration of enrollment work in Indianapolis, including setting long-term vision for using enrollment data to support the education landscape in Indianapolis. Moving from a start up to a stable, established Indianapolis entity is the next challenge on the horizon, and the Executive Director will play a fundamental role in the future of the work. A qualified candidate for this role will be a collaborative leader with demonstrable experience in development, education policy, and strategic vision setting.
Roles and Responsibilities
Leadership and Management
• In conjunction with the Board of Directors, set the strategic vision for the future of Enroll Indy in Indianapolis. 
• Translate the Board's strategic vision into actionable goals for the organization and its team members and hold team members accountable for ambitious results.
• Lead a team of a dozen people to execute the annual OneMatch Lottery, Ongoing Enrollment, Summer Enrollment and ongoing partnership work. 
• Evaluate current staffing structure and roles and hire new staff as needed.
• Fundraise and manage a ~$1 million annual budget.
• In conjunction with the Board of Directors, develop a concrete fundraising strategy with an emphasis on organizational sustainability over the next 3-5 years.
• Develop positive and productive relationships with education leaders in Indianapolis, including district, charter, nonprofit, governmental, and community leaders.
• Represent Enroll Indy in public, including media events, board meetings, funder meetings, etc. 
• Ensure the long-term success of Enroll Indy by generating community buy-in, commitment and support for the organization from a diverse set of stakeholder individuals and organizations.
• Perform other duties as required.

Enrollment and Policy
• Oversee all enrollment functions of Enroll Indy, in conjunction with the Director of Enrollment and the enrollment team.
• Ensure equitable policy development and execution, in conjunction with the Director of Enrollment.
• Establish a system for strategic data management, in conjunction with the Director of Enrollment and other partners.
• Navigate laws and regulations affecting public charter and traditional public school enrollment to ensure the program and all participating schools comply.
• Collaborate with Indianapolis Public Schools, the Indiana Charter School Board, and The City of Indianapolis to ensure compliance to enrollment policies.
• Propose and advocate changes to enrollment policy driven by data analysis in alignment with the strategic vision of the organization.
• Maintain high quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards; analyzing and resolving quality and family and stakeholder service problems; identifying trends; and recommending system improvements.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 
• Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree preferred
• The belief that all children deserve the opportunity to attend an excellent school and that parents should be empowered with the ability to select that school
• A steadfast commitment to equity
• A minimum of five years of executive level experience, including managing teams, fundraising, and financial oversight
• A track record of building relationships and buy in from a diverse set of stakeholders
• Superior and demonstrable problem-solving, analytical, and quantitative skills combined with an inquisitive, investigative nature
• Flexibility and adaptability in the face of uncertainty
• Demonstrable experience navigating challenging political circumstances
• Willingness and comfort perform administrative and client-facing tasks related to the function of the organization (family enrollment, events, etc.)
• Excellent written and oral communication and critical thinking skills
• Experience with Salesforce or a similar database is preferred
• Knowledge of Indianapolis' complex education system is preferred
