The Collections and Financial Analytics Manager is the member of our Finance team responsible for developing and implementing goals, policies and procedures; as well as mechanisms for tracking, reporting and accountability to optimize collections experience across the organization.  This position will also provide data analytics across a variety of financial functions to inform decision making for financial leadership.

Position Duties & Responsibilities
The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.  They are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of personnel so classified. 

Manage all pledges receivable and collections for UWCI's employee, workplace and individual community giving. This requires an in-depth understanding of UWCI's Constituent Relationship Management System (CRM) and a variety of integrated roles in both Finance and Fundraising.
• Manage the tracking, collections and relationships amongst external account contacts, internal Finance Team and internal Fundraising Account Managers
• Establish and implement clear roles, responsibilities and timelines for collection
• Establish annual goals for collections and generate/create/manage progress reports
• Develop and manage trend reports (rolling 12-month, year over year, month over month, payment timing, etc) to inform leadership and collections strategies
• Develop a deep understanding of UWCI's corporate partners and their individual payroll deduction and payment cycles to ensure superior customer service in the collections process
• Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding pledge balances
• Generate monthly CRM invoices by 15th of each month
• Establish and execute comprehensive write-off rules and procedures
• Seek out and leverage best practices across the United Way network

Manage all other invoicing and collections (non-CRM) across the organization; including but not limited to private and government grants, tickets and registrations, and other fundraising efforts.

Establish and execute strategies and goals to drive company adoption of payroll import files with Fundraising Team

Other key Finance Team functions
• Participate as needed in resolving payment application issues
• Collaborate with finance team on impacts that may arise from transactions processed
• Manage financial and project deadlines
• Develop and generate analytical reports to inform strategy (processing times, paper vs electronic pledges, etc)
• Maintain complete and accurate files for all areas of responsibility
• Identify, propose, document, and implement process improvements in all areas of responsibility
• Respond to internal and external inquiries in an effective, timely and accurate manner
• Communicate in a courteous and professional manner with internal and external constituents
• Manage financial and project deadlines
• Perform special assignments and other work, on an as-needed basis.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred or at least four years of relevant experience in accounting related position. Experience with both accounting and CRM systems a plus. Collections experience a plus. Data analytics experience a plus. Must be computer proficient and detail oriented.  Effective time management is essential along with the ability to multi-task.  Must be able to successfully meet various processing deadlines.  Organizational and interpersonal skills are critical to this position.
