The Manager of Community Engagement is charged with the responsibility of managing activities related to the analysis, planning, execution, and evaluation of fundraising and selected special events. The Manager of Community Engagement works with and through President and CEO on all fundraising and community development programs and works in conjunction with other Departments on activities designed to enhance and support the overall mission of the Agency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned to meet business needs):
• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and build relationships with donors and prospective donors. 
• Clearly endorses and communicates the vision of the organization. Including a culture of development that creates long sustainable growth.
• Cultivate new opportunities to fundraise and advance the organization through interesting and engaging community partnerships.
• Utilize record keeping system(s) for tracking donor participation with input from board committees and staff.
• Analyze the need and opportunity for fundraising events, working with volunteers, staff, and committees.
• Implements approved special events and fundraising initiatives; serve as coordinator with outside consultants/contract services in the creation of specific projects.
• Prepare content and materials needed for fundraising and special events as approved, including proposals to donors and prospective donors, gift recognition, acknowledgement materials, and appeal letters.
• Research potential community engagement opportunities to advance the mission of TeenWorks (individuals, corporations, foundations).
• Keep up with current trends of fundraising, donor cultivation programs, practices, and procedures used in nonprofit sector.

• Ability to strengthen and expand fundraising efforts.
• Complete tasks in an effective and efficient manner.
• Excellent organizational, written, oral and interpersonal communication skills required.
• Ability to develop and maintain interpersonal relationships.
• Ability to work well and collaboratively with a team.
• Identify, cultivate and solicit donations.
• Plan and manage fundraising events.
• Ability to passionately embrace the mission of TeenWorks.
• Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.

Education / Experience
• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Previous experience in: fundraising, donor relations, cultivation, community development, public relations, donor research, event planning is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication skills.
