Reporting to the Vice President of Advancement, the Leadership Gifts Officer is responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding a portfolio of current and potential donors with the capacity to make annual gifts of $1,000, or greater, in support of the Annual DeltFund and the comprehensive annual giving program.  
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  
▪ Schedule and conduct a minimum of 150 high-impact meetings per year for the purposes of cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding an assigned portfolio of current and prospective donors 
▪ Solicit a minimum of 150 donors/prospects for Order of the C'level gifts and above ($1,000) 
▪ Work with development team to identify, qualify and assign new leadership gift prospects 
▪ Develop a working knowledge of Delt history, programs, and achievements 
▪ Understand and meet departmental standards, policies, and procedures with respect to all aspects of his/her work   

Other Duties/Responsibilities: 
▪ Represent the Foundation at various Fraternity events and conferences. 
▪ Other duties/projects as necessary and as assigned by the President, Vice President Advancement and/or Vice President of Administration.   

Job Requirements and Preferences:    
The ideal candidate should be a self-starting strategic thinker whose hallmark qualities include being persistent, personable, team-oriented, and possessing a desire to succeed. The applicant should demonstrate a commitment to the ideals of Delta Tau Delta and be passionate about the fraternal experience. The candidate must possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to relate to a variety of people of all ages and backgrounds. A personal commitment to excellence and the ability to work in a goal-oriented environment are essential. 
▪ Bachelor's degree
▪ Member of Delta Tau Delta or other fraternal organization preferred
▪ Proven fundraising or sales ability
▪ Working knowledge and understanding of database systems and Microsoft Office software  
▪ Donor centered approach
Physical Effort:  While performing the responsibilities of the Leadership Gift Officer, employee is required to talk and listen. The employee is often required to sit and use hands and fingers to handle or feel.  Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
