Special Olympics Indiana seeks a qualified person to serve as Manager of Special Events. The Manager is responsible for coordinating the Charity Golf Classic fundraiser and supporting the two largest fundraising events, the Polar Plunge and the Plane Pull Challenge. In addition to fundraising events, this position is the lead organizer in production of the Summer Games Opening Ceremonies, the Summer Games Festival of Champions and the State Conference Recognition program.
Successful candidates must be highly motivated, goal-oriented self-starters who are passionate about making a difference in their community. Candidates must be able to demonstrate strong communication skills and present a positive image of Special Olympics Indiana to the public at all times. Success also comes with the ability to work independently, manage time effectively to accomplish goals, and be a collaborative team member within the organization's development department.
