The Associate Director of Communication is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of an overarching communication plan as well as managing the Alpha Kappa Psi websites, content development &curation, email marketing campaigns, and social media platforms.

Duties:
• Tell the story of Alpha Kappa Psi Fraternity.
• Develop, prioritize and evaluate a communication plan which advances the Fraternity's strategic plan.
• Design, develop, deliver, manage, and evaluate a broad and ongoing editorial calendar for the Fraternity.
• Collaborate with staff members to develop and execute communication strategies and timelines for fraternity programs, events and initiatives.
• Continuously evaluate, develop and maintain Alpha Kappa Psi websites, maintaining accuracy, relevancy and timeliness.  
• Manage and coordinate email content and communication multiple audiences.
• Produce press releases and weekly news stories.
• Manage the Alpha Kappa Psi blog.
• Edit and maintain the Alpha Kappa Psi Style, Brand, and Media Guides.
• Assist with the development, distribution, and maintenance of all print and electronic collateral.
• Produce daily social media content, engagement, and metrics.
• Assist with determining, tracking, measuring KPI's for the level of engagement via communication channels
• Participate in and support fraternity committees as assigned.
• Provide prompt, professional, and member-centered service.
• Assist the staff/volunteer team in other areas on an as needed basis.
 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Bachelor's Degree in communication, marketing, journalism, public relations, or advertising. 
• Journalistic writing and editing, marketing and communication, audio-visual equipment and photo/video production experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills as well as organizational skills.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Suite programs (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
• Tech-savvy, with experience working with websites, electronic communication and social media vehicles.
• Innovative thinker and doer. 
• Well-organized, able to work with minimal supervision and manage time in a deadline-oriented environment. 
• Strong work ethic and initiative; including an entrepreneurial and self-starting attitude as well as the proven ability to independently manage multiple priorities and projects is essential. A high level of energy, initiative, and creativity is desired.
