Dove House is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual for the role of Marketing & Development Manager. A successful candidate will provide leadership for a Board-approved fundraising plan that creates a donor-centered philanthropic culture throughout the organization, and oversight of a marketing plan that advances the external presence of Dove House.

Position Duties:
• Actively communicate the organization's mission and values to funders, donors, and the community at-large.
• Oversee a stewardship program that acknowledges donations/sponsorships in a timely manner, and communicates with donors/sponsors throughout the year to strengthen relationships and further engage and retain their support of Dove House.
• Implement fundraising strategies that cultivate relationships with current and prospective donors in order to secure new funding/increased gifts.
• Manage all functions of the fundraising database to update sponsor/donor records which includes but is not limited to entering donor information, gift processing, donor relationship management, community partners, prospect research, and report generation.
• Lead a committee of volunteers to plan the annual Dove House fundraising event which includes securing corporate sponsorships, managing event communications, promoting ticket sales, developing event program, and overseeing logistics.
• Plan and execute 3-4 targeted, small group donor social and networking events each year.
• Manage the annual grants calendar which includes grant writing, reporting, and serving as point of contact for foundations.
• Identify, create and plan opportunities to engage the community in advancing the mission of Dove House.
• Lead communications efforts and strategies that further engages Dove House stakeholders through newsletters, the website, social media and public relations.
• Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
 
Position Qualifications:
 
• Undergraduate degree in a field related to philanthropy and/or communications.
• 3-5 years professional experience with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of fundraising in the nonprofit sector.
• Experience in nonprofit marketing or communications.
• History of success developing and managing relationships with individual donors and corporate sponsors to ensure solid retention each year.
• Strong interpersonal and written communications skills with demonstrated attention to detail and ability to relate to individuals at varying levels both internally and externally.
• Ability to handle multiple deadlines and projects, and prioritize accordingly.
• Strong work ethic with excellent time management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Computer software skills, including Microsoft Office is required; knowledge of working with an integrated donor database system is preferred.
• Professional in appearance, demeanor, and decision-making, with ability to use discretion in working with confidential and sensitive data.
