Special Olympics Indiana seeks a qualified person to serve as Manager of UCS Middle School Programs.  The manager is responsible for directing the partnership between Special Olympics Indiana (SO Indiana) and the Indiana Middle Level Education Association (IMLEA) known as "Champions Together in the Middle", including the Unified Champion Schools (UCS) banner program, school assemblies and middle school Unified Sports® programs.  This position oversees middle school programs and shares responsibility for providing quality customer service to internal and external customers.

Successful candidates must be highly motivated, goal-oriented self-starters who are passionate about making a difference in their community.  Candidates must be able to demonstrate strong communication skills and present a positive image of Special Olympics Indiana to the public at all times.  Success also comes with the ability to work independently, manage time effectively to accomplish goals, and be a collaborative team member within the organization's Unified Champion Schools team.
At the core, Special Olympics is a sports organization that uses the power of sport as a catalyst for social change. Through sport, we challenge society. By highlighting how the needs of people with intellectual disabilities (ID) are not being met, we expose inequity and exclusion. By drawing attention to the gifts of people with ID, we break down misperceptions and tackle negative attitudes.

The vision of Special Olympics Indiana is that sport will open hearts and minds towards people with ID and create inclusive communities across the state and throughout the world.
