Part-time (25 hours/week)

Founded in 1968, Classical Music Indy, Inc. (formerly the Fine Arts Society of Indianapolis) has enjoyed over 50 years providing free classical music to greater Indianapolis and remains the premier classical music broadcast syndicator in Central Indiana. Classical Music Indy's on-air product is aired in nearly every major market statewide, reaching over 4 million listeners annually. To complement its existing on-air music programming, Classical Music Indy offers Music Unites, a suite of dynamic, progressive, and innovative community programs that are both accessible to and reflective of our diverse community. Music Unites proudly features a cohort of 35 local professional classical musicians and is typically free to the audiences it serves.

● Minimum of a bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience in music programming and production, or radio broadcast fields.
● Experience with Adobe Audition, Music Master, or similar broadcast software a plus.
● Astute knowledge of FCC broadcast rules and copyright law.
● Able to maintain effective, positive relationships with radio syndication and other community partners.
● Able to collect, organize and analyze radio program data, to communicate with syndicators and other partners.
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong command of grammar and spelling.
● Highly organized, deadline-driven, and detail-oriented.
● Able to multi-task, prioritize, and learn quickly.
● Proficient in Microsoft Office, Slack, GMail, and task management software.
● Willingness to assist with all tasks needed to ensure the success of CMI.
● Professional demeanor, engaging personality, adaptability, patience, and highly motivated work ethic.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Web Radio Programming
● Collaborate with Program Director to develop the required quantity of music programming for a streaming website
● Align music selections with the annual content calendar
● Record voice tracks to introduce selected music
● Produce digital program modules, and upload them to streaming platform
● Prepare and distribute daily and quarterly playlist reports
● Serve as back-up announcer
