The Chief Talent and Culture Officer's role, as a member of UWCI's Operating Committee (OC) reporting directly to the President and CEO, is to provide strategic leadership and assure a high performing, engaged, diverse, and inclusive team that operates as a team and in accordance with our C.A.R.E. values. 
 
Position Duties & Responsibilities
The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.  They are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of personnel so classified.  
 
▪ Lead an effective and efficient Talent Management function, including recruiting processes,  policies, training and development, performance management, succession planning, reward and recognition, and employee engagement events, etc. to result in at least 75% retention of high performing employees. 
▪ Review policies, procedures and processes and find balance between process necessary to protect and guide the organization and the simplicity required to support an organization of our size.
▪ Ensure transparency into people-related strategies.
▪ Assure that all employees understand the organizational mission and priorities, organizational structure, policies and practices and how each position fits into achieving organizational goals.
▪ Develop strategies that assure diversity, equity and inclusion are embraced by the organization in spirit and process.  Provide leadership to UWCI's internal and external diversity, equity and inclusion strategies, and assure the President/CEO and other OC members are involved appropriately and strategically.
▪ Develop strategies and tactics to support the organization's overarching goals, guide the organization's culture and enable UWCI to be recognized as a Best Places to Work employer.
▪ In collaboration with the Chief Operating Officer/CFO and UWCI's benefits advisors, provide leadership to develop competitive compensation and benefits across the organization.
▪ Liaise with the Executive Compensation Committee and conduct regular compensation studies consistent with UWCI's compensation philosophies, policies and best practices.
▪ Develop and implement a comprehensive leader and team member development plan that includes new hire onboarding, internal and external development opportunities, and diversity, equity and inclusion training.
▪ Assure individual development plans are designed with both personal and professional development elements.
▪ In collaboration with other members of the the Operating Committee, assure that goals for the organization are set annually, well-communicated, and all individual goals are appropriately integrated up, down and across the organization.
▪ Track and report the metrics needed to ensure solid talent management decision making, including diversity.
▪ Promote a cooperative, collaborative and inclusive culture within the organization.
▪ Actively participate as a member of the Operating Committee (OC).
▪ Perform other duties as assigned.  
 
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and be physically present and visible in the office. Education and/or Experience
Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or other related field preferred with at least ten year's demonstrated executive experience in human resources, organizational development, learning and development, and diversity/equity required.
