Indiana Donor Network is one of 58 designated organ recovery organizations in the United States and coordinates organ, tissue and eye donation throughout the state. Indiana Donor Network is devoted to public education about donation and transplantation with the goal of saving and enhancing more lives.
SPECIFICALLY, INDIANA DONOR NETWORK:
• Provides Hoosiers with information needed to make an informed decision about donation
• Offers access to the Indiana Donor Registry so people can register their decision
• Evaluates potential donors for medical suitability to donate organs and/or tissue
• Coordinates the donation process according to federal regulations and with the utmost respect for medical ethics
• Offers grief support services to families before, during and after donation
• Educates healthcare professionals about the donation process
• Assists Indiana hospitals in developing donation policies and procedures.
We have an incredible opportunity for a finance leader with a strong business acumen to make a difference in our mission-based work of saving and enhancing lives through organ and tissue donation and transplantation.
This position is responsible for day-to-day team and operations leadership related to Accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, reporting, forecasting, and financial analysis. This key role will work collaboratively with physicians, leadership, finance, departments, and individuals across Indiana Donor Network and our partners to facilitate improvements in the design, management, execution, and control of financial operations
Qualified candidates must have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. A master's degree in accounting or business is preferred as well as 2+ years of public accounting experience. CPA license is preferred. If the employee does not have a CPA license, then the employee is required to show enrollment and satisfactory commitment to the completion of the license during the 24 month period after hire. If the employee does not have a Master's degree, then the employee is required to show enrollment and satisfactory commitment to the completion of the degree during the 36 month period after hire. A working knowledge of word processing, database accounting software and electronic spreadsheets is also required. Knowledge and understanding of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and requirements from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is required.
