The Outreach Programs Manager oversees programming, evaluation, coordination and policies pertaining to select Outreach programs, classes and workshops. This includes program and personnel management of the following programs and related staff: ArtReach, ArtBus, ArtTroop, Veterans Art Day, and senior outreach programs.
Essential Job Functions:
Develop schedule of program locations and partners (sites) for three semesters (Fall, Spring, Summer) annually according to vision and strategy determined by Art Center strategic plan and the Director of Education & Outreach.
Evaluate programs through analysis of student evaluations, enrollment trends, and other qualitative and quantitative data, ensuring programs remain relevant and meet quality standards, and identifying areas for program growth/development.
Manage program partnerships including communication, relationship-building, and resolving conflicts and challenges to the success of programs.
Serve as ambassador of the Art Center to the community through forging new relationships with community organizations, engaging directly with community leaders through participation in meetings, events, and one-on-one conversations.
Supervise and manage program faculty, ensuring strong communication between faculty and administrative staff.
Develop and enforce policies pertaining to the operation of programs and partnerships, specifically those which happen off-campus.
Work collaboratively with other Education Program Managers on shared projects, initiatives and goals.
Additional Job Functions:
Conduct regular observations of programs.
Assess and address growth/professional development opportunities for faculty, including facilitating professional development trainings for program instructors.
Manage program budgets, including accurate expense tracking and assisting in annual budgeting process.
Plan and execute program-related exhibitions and/or events, working alongside the appropriate departments.
Assist in reporting program outcomes to stakeholders as necessary, e.g. Art Center Board of Directors, funders, etc.
Delegate administrative tasks to support staff and/or volunteers as needed.
Provide program support for other Education programs or activities, including attending critical program meeting dates, conducting observations, preparing materials, and additional duties as required.
Assist with Art Center major events, exhibitions, and performing additional duties as required.

Excellent written and oral communication skills
Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Working knowledge of a variety of art media
Education and Experience:
A combination of education, training and experience equivalent to an undergraduate degree in art, art education or a related field
Project management experience
Experience developing curricula or writing lesson plans
Prior teaching experience strongly preferred
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Works primarily indoors in open office environment
Works regular hours; some evening and weekend hours are required
Occasional physical demands associated with carrying/moving art materials and supplies, installing exhibitions; must be able to climb ladders and lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
Individuals must be able to move freely about the work site.
Individuals must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Employee must pass a criminal background check prior to employment.
