Exodus Refugee Immigration, Inc. is seeking a full-time Intensive Case Manager to deliver support services to refugees through our Preferred Communities Intensive Case Management Program.

Exodus welcomes refugees to Indiana and offers them a place to call home. We work to arrange housing, food and clothing, case management, as well as education, employment and health services for individuals and families starting out in their new lives.  As an independent, non-sectarian, 501(c)(3), and non-profit agency, Exodus is part of a network that works with Church World Service's Immigration and Refugee Program (CWS/IRP) in the resettlement of refugees from all over the world.

The primary purpose of the Intensive Case Manager position is to ensure that Exodus clients are connected to affordable and culturally competent services that meet their needs.  Through coaching, education, and referrals the Intensive Case Manager ensures that clients gain the skills, knowledge, and resources necessary to access medical and mental health services.  The Case Manager documents services in accordance with the expectations outlined in the Case Management program and Exodus policies and procedures.  The Case Manager will also assist clients with applying for disability as needed.  He or she maintains regular and consistent contact with the refugee(s), assesses and monitors refugee needs and goals and advocates on behalf of refugees to guarantee that their needs are met.  The Case Manager will also collaborate with and provide education to area service providers and refugee communities. Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in social work or related field, or have equivalent experience.   Fluency in Arabic, Burmese, Kinyarwanda, or Swahili preferred, but not required.  Candidates with case management experience and who have worked in multi-cultural settings preferred.  Candidates must have a valid Indiana driver's license and insurance.

Must have a Master's degree or Bachelor's degree with equivalent experience, preferably in social work or a related field. Preferably has experience with case management in an international and/or human services setting. Must have experience in helping others access community resources. Must be able to effectively communicate with clients of diverse cultural, religious, and language backgrounds who have experienced traumatic circumstances. Proficiency in foreign language is preferred, but not required. Must be a self-starter with a high level of organizational skill, flexibility and commitment to the mission of providing compassionate and responsive services to refugee clients. Must be able to function as part of a diverse team. Must have valid driver's license, insurance, and vehicle that can be used to transport clients to and from appointments.
