Background and Mission
One of the most significant challenges today is affording health insurance and health care coverage.  All in that situation, regardless of location or status, deserve dignity, respect and compassion when seeking healthcare.  The professional, dedicated staff and volunteers of the Trinity Free Clinic (TFC), a faith-based, nonprofit, 501©3 organization, fulfill that mission every day, providing quality free medical, dental and health services to the uninsured, under-insured and low-income residents of Hamilton County.

Strategic Focus
As TFC established its presence over the last 19 years, it utilized an assortment of volunteers and part-time paid staff for grant writing and fundraising.  Now fully established and offering a full complement of medical and dental services, TFC seeks to employ an experienced full-time development professional.  The Director of Development, who will report to TFC's Executive Director, will serve in a strategic role for the Clinic, and spearhead the development and fundraising activities required to sustain and support anticipated growth. 

Responsibilities of the Position:
• Create and execute a long-term development strategy; develop and execute TFC's ongoing fundraising plan in accordance with the long-term strategy.  "Hands on" activity/execution is a significant part of the role.  TFC anticipates the strategy and plan will include the following:
  o contributions from individuals, foundations, grant providers, local churches and governments, and corporations
  o events geared toward community awareness, advocacy and fundraising 
• Present plans to TFC's Board of Directors for approval, and provide quarterly progress updates on same.
• Develop an ongoing (monthly) fundraising report to track all activities and progress against plans, which will be reported to both the Executive Director and Board.
• Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with major donors.
• Meet at least monthly with Executive Director to discuss successes, barriers, and any steps needed to enhance and support development efforts.
• Oversee and/or advise project managers for all fundraising events, and set fundraising goals for each event.  Key events that occur today include:
  o The Taste, Sip, Savor dinner
  o Run for Wellness multi distance race
  o Lunch and Learn events
• Oversee efforts of the supporting Development Committee and attend all Development Committee meetings.
• Develop and enhance marketing materials and messaging related to fundraising efforts and community awareness and advocacy of TFC.

Requirements for the Position:
• Full commitment and dedication to the mission statement of TFC
• Bachelor's degree or requisite experience
• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience working in direct fundraising for a non-profit organization
• Outstanding / proven skills in the following areas:
  o oral and written communication
  o networking and relationship building
  o interpersonal relationships
  o creativity, planning, organization and administration
• Proven experience in a professional environment that requires excellent software / technology proficiency
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends
