Theta Chi Fraternity is looking for an organized, proactive and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant with strong interpersonal and communication skills to handle general office duties and provide administrative support to all departments within the organization.

Organization Overview: 
Founded in 1856, Theta Chi Fraternity is a men's collegiate fraternity with more than 191,000 initiated members and has established 241 chapters across North America. Leadership development, personal development, and a commitment to academic success are fundamental to Theta Chi Fraternity's mission.

Position Duties: 
The Administrative Assistant will provide general office support including answering and routing calls, handling information requests, processing incoming mail and data entry. Other clerical duties include preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, maintaining general files, organizing data and assisting with other tasks as needed.

Primary Responsibilities include:
• Provide primary phone coverage (first to answer all incoming calls)
• Process and distribute incoming correspondence, including payments/donations
• Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, and emails
• Assist with management of public calendar
• Database administration, including data entry and record maintenance
• Provide clerical support including tasks such as photocopying, scanning, preparing documents for mailing and filing

Travel to biennial 7-day summer conference (frequently out of state) may be required beginning July 2020.

Position Qualifications: 
A high school diploma or equivalency is required. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated professional and team player with a passion for assisting college students and a desire to advance the mission of the organization. Candidates will demonstrate interpersonal skills including, but not limited to:
• The ability to work well with students, alumnus volunteers, board members and colleagues,
• Strong verbal and written communication skills,
• Courteous manner, proactive and organized.

Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office and be able to learn the organization's database system.
